When you call us and make an appointment to come in we are most concerned to assist you in the best way possible. We want you to feel comfortable and feel confident that your concerns are addressed with the highest level of competency, compassion, integrity and professionalism. We seek to work with your family doctor or specialist(s) not instead of. We are very careful in our recommendations to avoid anything that would adversely interact or alter the effectiveness of your current medications or treatment. Fortunately, most natural remedies are no problem, but we do ask that you bring with you your prescription medications(a written list is fine) with you on your visit.

Although it is our common goal to bring you to a level of health where your prescription medications are no longer necessary, we will not be advising you to go off any of your medications - your doctor put you on them and so it is between you and your doctor to make those decisions. We want to assure you as well that your consultations with myself and the health records that we keep will be held strictly confidential and will only be released upon your written consent.

Visits

First Visit

When you come to our clinic for the first visit expect to have some time. One hour is devoted to you in order to go through an entire history of your particular issues, should you have any. This time is used to understand why you have arrived at this particular point in your life. A complete history is taken. A physical exam may also occur during this initial visit. The Doctor of Natural Medicine will use this time to gather information together in order to begin a specific protocol for you.

What about subsequent visits?

Subsequent visits vary from two weeks to three months apart, depending on your needs. During these visits, we will address dietary and lifestyle issues, monitor your Naturopathic protocol and deal with any acute issues that may come up during this time. Now that a file and history has been established for you, you may come to the clinic for any reason, not just for your initial complaint.
