Reflexology Treatment
The theory behind Reflexology is based on the belief that, when there is any form of "imbalance" or "blockage" in the body, granular or crystalline deposits will accumu- late on the relevant reflex points in the feet. At these points there will be tenderness and or hard skin, corns or infection (internal or external). These are all evidence of blockages or problems in certain parts of the body. Each part of the foot corresponds to every part and organ of the body. Reflexology treatments work to free up your energy zones by stimulating the pressure points to allow your body to heal itself, naturally.
Reiki
The word Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese kanji for universal life-force energy. Reiki is a light touch, energy based modality. The client is fully clothed on the treatment table. The practitioner's hands remain in stationary position, on the body through several positions from head to toe. Some practitioners do not use the prescribed hand positions, preferring to use a more intuitive approach. There is no massage in Reiki, it is a balancing of energy, there are no manipulations of the skin or tissue.
